The Bowmanville town is located in the Municipality of Clarington, Durham Region, Ontario, Canada.
It is a part of the Greater Toronto Area and here population is about 40,000. Bowmanville town is surrounded from three sides by rural areas and Lake Ontario to the south. Central Bowmanville was formerly covered by farmland when its population was not increased so much.
It has possessed 15 km east of Oshawa along Highway 2 and 75 km of Toronto.
In 1858, Bowmanville was first included as a town, but later it joined with the neighboring townships of Darlington and Clarke in 1974 and formed the new Town of Newcastle. But in 1994, it was renamed to the Clarington's Municipality. Education and transportation systems have been improved in the twenty-first century.
The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board; and Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board operate the whole education system of Bowmanville. Again, this city has been accessible via Railway and Highway 401.
The main attraction of Bowmanville is the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park where major and grand prix racing events are hosted. Again there was a private zoo which is called ?Bowmanville Zoo?.
It was the oldest private zoo in Canada. Since 1961 the Bowmanville Santa Claus Parade is held annually on November third Saturday.
